GHD Journal: Summer Round Up

Let's hear it for summer! We know May and June can be crazy with school ending, graduation, planning for travel and probably all kinds of over-commitments, but that doesn't stop us from looking forward to the lazy, hazy days ahead. Whether playing at the beach, relaxing by the pool, diving into a good book, heading off to an exciting trip, tending to the garden or enjoying a chill staycation, we hope this round up serves as a reminder to slow down, savor life and enjoy the simple things.

This season our picks are inspired by the warmth of the sun balanced with a little bit of patina and contrast. We hope you enjoy!

  1. Your pillows can change with the season. We love this floral pillow from textile designer Lisa Fine.

  2. Sudbury Yellow is a classic shade and a little dose of sunshine.

  3. Just because we're dining outdoors doesn’t mean we're savages: make sure to set the table. These striped napkins with their sweet crocheted edges will keep you civilized.

  4. A bistro table in the right spot can set the scene for a little summer romance.

  5. The Oaxacan black vase is a dramatic addition to any table.

  6. This lamp in woven abaca rope is classic and playful at the same time,  just like summer.

  7. Timeless yet modern is the way to go for summer style and this pearl necklace tics both of those boxes plus the price won’t cut your vacation short.

  8. This little clay pitcher delivers summer sunshine by the glass.

  9. A bikini, this ring and a chaise by the beach, that’s all we need this summer.

  10. House guests? For a well appointed room this glass and carafe set is a must have.

  11. Schlepp all your stuff to the pool or the beach in style with this beach tote. The little scallop detail on the straps is oh so currant.
