Holiday Table Design: Organic Luxe

The season of holiday entertaining is here and while at this point in 2020 we all understand these holidays will have to be a scaled back version of the usual, it doesn’t mean we have to leave out tradition and moments of beauty. I recently partnered with Darcy from Seascape Flowers and Julie of Julie Cahill Photography to style and capture our holiday decor starting first with a beautiful organic-luxe holiday table. I had so much fun creating and capturing this look with these wonderful ladies. Read on for all the details.

Tablescape

Our table design was inspired by an organic earth and water color palette, where we took cues from our beautiful central coast landscape. Overall the palette is transitional and would be perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas or Chanukah.

We love the way the rich gold hues set off the blue linen napkins. The centerpiece is a stunning blend of florals mixing forest fern fronds with oak leaves, succulents, parrot tulips, roses, ornamental cabbage, pinecones, orchids and more. We added pears, pinecones, nuts, beeswax candles, gold flatware and a pretty ochre velvet ribbon to pull it all together.

Instead of a traditional napkin ring, we loosely tied a piece of velvet ribbon around the linen napkin and added a fern frond to compliment the centerpiece.

Tip: Our table setting was inspired by the velvet ribbon, napkins and serve ware. Don’t be afraid to bring a photo to your florist and let them design a centerpiece for you based on something that inspires you. It could be your grandmother’s china, a piece of fabric or a photo.
